Pako is an incredible 7 yr old boy. He was recently found as an emaciated stray in Newark and brought to Newark AHS shelter where he was previously adopted from in 2018. Just a few weeks ago he found himself almost euthanized, but thanks to a volunteer pleading post we pulled him. It was thought that he was a hospice case dying of kidney disease, but it turns out he just had really severe Prostatitis making him not motivated to eat. He's now doing great on antibiotics, but he does have mild kidney disease, and will be fed Hills RX K/D dry long term.
Pako is a well mannered boy who absolutely adores other dogs and has a gentle play style. He gets along with all large dogs, cats, and kids. He is currently 80lbs but is still working on reaching a healthy weight for him, which would likely be 90lbs. He is scheduled to get neutered in April.
