Oz

Oz is an easy boy! And he by far wins the most joyful playtime award! This boy is a hoot. He loves to play! He is a very sweet boy who enjoys chasing balls and toys. His zest for life is contagious! He absolutely loves to doggy daycare. He also loves to go for hikes and explores very well on his harness. Unfortunately the other award Oz gets is longest resident. We’ve had Oz for almost TWO YEARS now. He was so defeated and desperate that he jumped into his foster’s yard for help. We really cannot emphasize enough that this was not the same dog when we first got him. He was sluggish from heartworms and just exhausted. But not now!! He fully intends to live his best life and he does that with gusto! Oz is an enthusiastic people greeter so he hasn’t met a stranger yet. He does exceptionally well with female dogs. Males are untested. He wants to chase outdoor cats - so no kitties for him. He’s been fine in public outings, except for trying to steal extra treats at the pet store ?Yes, this boy loves his food!! He rides well in the car and prefers shotgun. He does great in his kennel. When he is ready to be back inside, he waits by the door and he goes right into his kennel. He is not an escape artist in spite of his initial breaking and entering charge. He travels well in a car. He’s just an all around big goober and good boy! Oz is around 65 lbs, UTD on vaccinations, neutered and heartworm negative. He is a pit/bulldog/boxer mix. Probably in the 5 year age range. Please let us know if you are interested in this boy. He will be a great dog for the right person. His foster mom will be very picky about where he goes. He requires a secure fenced yard. We have an application and interview process that includes a veterinarian reference and home check.
