Orion is approximately 6 months in these pictures taken July 21, 2007. He was saved from a kill shelter and is now in a foster home. Orion got his name because he has a blaze on his chest that reminded us of Orion's belt. He has a shiny short black coat and a happy bottom and tail that wiggles rapidly, His big brown eyes are kind and warm. He is very calm and loves children and all animals. He has shown no problems with our puppy or our other dog. He loves to give the cat lots of kisses. He likes to lay on the couch and loves his ears and paws rubbed. We haven't found a spot he doesn't like petted. We have been so pleasantly surprised by him he had a rough start. Regardless he has shown how loving, calm, playful, and full of life he is. When we picked him up he fell asleep in the car not a worry in the world. Orion is everything anyone would want in a pet he is children and animal friendly. He is gentle and loving, smart and playful. He is just waiting to reach is potential and find a family of his own. I know we will miss him.
July 21, 2007 - UPDATE: Orion's foster parents have taught him how to sit on command and to walk on a leash. He is very smart and learns quickly.
