OriMae's story really tugs at my heart, and it probably would hurt you as well to know all the details. At nine years old, housing became an issue for her family, and they had no choice-Literally, no choice-but to give her up. I've never been in this situation, but I have seen many who are and I cannot even imagine the heartache of having to give up your nine-year-old dog due to living arrangements. In the interest of positivity, and because you don't know all the details and we do, we are asking for you to please help us find her a home so she can get out of the shelter. OriMae has seen a veterinarian, and was boarded there over the weekend. We discovered she has a thyroid issue which is probably responsible for her obesity. she is also recovering from a chronic ear infection, and this needs tender, loving care on a daily basis. If you love seniors, and would like to help this one get back to good health, please consider either fostering or adopting. This girl is meticulously house trained, great with other dogs, and walks nicely on a leash. The only issue right now is that she has a hard time getting in and out of vehicles due to her weight. 107 pounds is a lot and we would like to help her lose about half of that. Can you help?
