OREO

Oreo is a 3 year old, 25#, Ibizan Hound. He is tall and slender, with black short fur and a white chest and toes. He is quick and athletic, has natural hunting instincts and would rather trot than walk. He was surrendered with Annie by an owner who could no longer care for them. He is neutered, vaccinated and on his monthly flea/heart worm prevention. His is also trained to sleep in a crate. He tends to run over the smaller dogs because he is so quick and nimble. He is the alpha of the pair, independent, and searched the marsh side of the yard for marsh rats and other critters hiding in the brush along the fence. He has made no effort to jump the 4 foot fence however. He is sweet and gentle but can be vocal when it is time for meals or when he needs to go outside. He would not be a good choice for an apartment. He is okay with the other dogs but the small ones are leery of being overwhelmed by his height and speed. He's interested in the big dogs but they aren't interested in him. This is a smart, attractive dog who is interested in everything you're doing. Oreo is looking for an inside home with a fenced yard and an active family.
