Oreo is an adorable 6-month-old American Bulldog/Beagle (best guess!) mix with a heart full of love and a bundle of energy. This sweet pup may be a bit shy when meeting new people or encountering new situations, but don’t let that fool you—he warms up quickly and becomes a loyal, affectionate companion. Once he gets to know you, Oreo is incredibly affectionate and enjoys snuggling up beside his foster family on a chair, soaking up all the cuddles he can get. Oreo has plenty of puppy energy and loves to play. He would thrive in a home that can match his enthusiasm and provide him with lots of opportunities for exercise and playtime. While he does tend to bark when left alone or when his foster family leaves the house, he settles fairly quickly. Oreo is crate trained and sleeps well in his crate at night, feeling secure in his own space. He does get very excited when let out of his crate or when going for walks, often jumping up in his excitement. Oreo will benefit greatly from obedience classes to help build his confidence and learn basic commands. Oreo loves the company of other dogs and would do well in a home with canine companions as playtime with other dogs is his favourite! He would be best suited to a home with older children or adults only. His ideal family would be active and able to provide him with plenty of physical and mental stimulation. Local adopters will receive a generous 50% discount on a 6-week obedience course courtesy of Ruff Haus (www.ruffhaus.ca), while all adopters will receive 6 weeks of complimentary pet insurance.
