Oreo

Are you looking to share your life with a very sweet 18 month old, medium sized, short haired dog? Oreo (aka Orrie) is wonderfully, playful, affectionate, active Lab-pit mix who was found as an abanonded stray in MS. ~~ He is now healthy, housetrained, knows sit and down and come. He is very friendly w/ people, never met a stranger, and is extremely gentle with children! ~~ We have spent a couple thousand dollars taking care of Orrie's medical needs. When we found him, Orrie was heartworm positive, had a ruptured ACL and his patella had been knocked out of its seat--so we treated the HW, and paid for surgery on the leg. Also had him neutered, of course, and fully vaccinated, wormed, etc. He is healthy now (tho still limps) and is ready to go to a reputable rescue or loving forever home. ~~ Oreo's foster mom, Elaine, recently moved to Annapolis, MD with him -- but she is willing to drive "Oreo" anywhere this side of the Mississippi. Elaine has 7 dogs including Orrie in her household, and unfortunately Orrie has recently started to have conflicts with her intact male Bernese Mt Dog, so he does need to find his forever home soon. He gets along fine with the other 5 female dogs in her household and also is very gentle with Elaine's 1 year old daughter. He does like to chase rabbits, so might want to chase cats as well. ** Can ANYONE please help Oreo!!???
