Onyx

Hi, Im Onyx. You would think with a name like mine Id have sleek coal black fur but nope. I am a mixed breed boy that looks more like a boxer with brown, black and white with a large brown dot on my back. I love the water so mebbe I have some lab too! Im a little over a year old and still have a bit of puppy in my personality. I weigh about 60 lbs but of course I still want to cuddle on your lap. I am super sweet, playful, funny, energetic and smart but stubborn. I know sit, shake, down, wait, heel and crate. I am very good in my crate. I can be a little tough on my leash but this new vest I got has really helped! I am also housetrained. I LOVE food, belly and booty rubs, and running, and chewing ice cubes. I've been to a couple of summer events and entertain the crowd. I gravitate to water. I even dip my paw in my water bowl to cool off. I like doggy pools too of course. Check out this cute video where I'm dipping my paw in my water bowl to cool off in the hot summer. Ive lived with cats and pay no attention to them. Boring! I have been around young kids but frankly, I think Im too big and wriggly for them and sometimes knock them over in my excitement, so methinks older kids is a better fit for me. I really like my neighbor dog, but havent played off leash yet with him. I think Id really like that. I would love to be in an adult home or one with older kids that would really love to play and are big and strong.
