*PLEASE NOTE: We do not adopt out on a first-come/first-serve basis. Applications are accepted for a puppy and then a home check is scheduled. I am a cuddle bug who is so happy to sit in a lap and watch TV while you relax. Of course I have probably been playing with the other dogs at my foster home getting all tired out. Sometimes they don't want to play and I am content to entertain myself with toys. I am in training classes and doing well with it! I have been learning how to walk well on a leash when we go out for our walks and rocking it! But wait, there’s more! When the sun is shining and the great outdoors are calling, you’ll find me leading the pack on our daily walks. With my leash in tow and my buddies by my side, every stroll is an adventure waiting to happen. Whether we’re exploring new trails or just sniffing around the neighborhood! Now, while I love human interaction I also like to take naps and at night time I curl up in my cozy bed, snuggle my favorite blankie, and drift off into dreamland without a peep. Yep, you heard that right – I’m a champion sleeper! No midnight barking but I do like to wake up early. I’m all about those sweet, uninterrupted dreams. So, if you’re looking for a furry friend who loves everyone, adores going on walks with her buddies, and can’t get enough of playtime, look no further! I’m Onyx, ready to bring endless love, laughter, and tail wags into your life. Let’s make memories together! If you are interested in meeting me, please fill out a preadoption application and a CDR volunteer will get back to you just as quick as they can! **The ADOPTION FEE for this pet is $525 which includes getting the puppy/dog up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella vaccines, fecal test and deworming if necessary, heartworm test, spay or neuter (not including pre-surgical bloodwork) and a microchip. Free access to our weekly training classes is also included for the life of the dog, something no other rescue in the area offers.***
