I have been introduced to male dog smelled then walked away then with a female will to interact, loose body language and no bite attempts were made is good with men and women, not sure children (best to do a meet and greet to be sure) . The shelter recommends slow introductions and following the 3/3/3 rule for all introduction regardless of my behavior in the shelter.
