Ollie-adopted

Ollie is a cute 1-2 yr old male rat terrier/terrier mix who was on the short list to be euthanized in a TN shelter. I offered to save him and now I need someone who wants a great dog who weighs about 15-20 lbs. This handsome boy is looking for a new forever home. Ollie is a sweet little guy who deserves to have a loving family care for him. Please help him get out of the shelter and into a forever home. He is neutered, has all his shots, and health cert. Adopting a dog that has been moved from a home to a shelter and then to a rescue is not for everyone. It takes time and patience to make that dog feel at home in his new environment. It takes at least 1 week and usually up to a month for a dog to acclimate to your schedule and home. An animal shelter is the most stressful place for a dog to be, with other dogs barking and not knowing what is happening around them. Some dogs come to their new home scared and timid. They will sometimes take several days before they start eating and have anything to do with the new adopters.

It's not easy rescuing a dog. It takes patience and time and LOVE. These dogs need love and understanding, not another rejection.
