Ollie

Meet Ollie! *Ollie is located in Houston with monthly transport opportunities to the PNW. Adopters will still have to fill out an adoption application, but we do FaceTime approved adopters for them to see Ollie before committing- as well as matchmake to be sure Ollie would do well in the new environment.* Ollie was rescued during the (rare) Houston freeze in December 2022. He was found darting in and out of Houston traffic- scared out of his mind before his rescuer pulled over and coaxed him into her car. Ollie is a happy boy and very friendly to meet people. We believe he is about 1 year old and he weighs about 50 lbs. Ollie is being fostered at Canine Country Club and he has been receiving obedience work while he is there! Ollie would benefit from a Bully experienced owner. We originally thought he was one year old when rescued in December, but seeing how much he has grown and how he needed work with mouthiness- we think he was only about 7 months old last December. He occasionally still does bite the leash, we have been substituting dog toys for him to carry instead of trying to walk himself on the leash. He is very social and completely non-reactive to other dogs barking in his face. He passed doggy daycare and loves playing with buddies. He would do best with other young and energetic dogs. He has been receiving obedience work and adopters will be able to speak with the trainer who has worked with him! He walks great on a leash with some guidance in the first few minutes, he has learned the place command beautifully as well! He does great at the vet and gives kisses to anyone who is in range. His happy tail is sometimes used as a weapon so adopters need to be aware of that! Ollie is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped- and heart worm negative!
