My Story

Name: Okie Age: 1 year old (estimated) Sex: Neutered Male Weight: 22 lbs Energy Level: 8/10 Videos: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/vELfV84suCU7mzaBA] Foster Instagram: [https://www.instagram.com/love_rescue_adoption?igsh=Y2duNTNtbHVwZXBo] Rescue Story: Okie was rescued from an illegal slaughterhouse in Hongsung, South Korea. He is currently being fostered locally. The approved applicant will have a two-week trial period to ensure a good match and commitment. Personality and Socialization: - With Adults: Okie is social and friendly with both male and female adults. He tends to jump when he gets excited. - With Dogs: Okie gets along well with both small and large dogs. He enjoys playing with big dogs but can be scared of aggressive dogs. - With Children: Okie has not had interactions with young children yet. Due to his high energy level and tendency to jump, he would do best in a home without very young children. He is suitable for families with children of elementary school age and older. Home Life and Behavior: - Bathing and Dental Hygiene: Okie enjoys flavored toothpaste for brushing. - House Training: Okie goes outside for number 2 and uses a wee pad for number 1 80% of the time. - Favorite Activities: Okie loves tug-of-war, fetching balls, and treat puzzles. Also enjoys duck-foot treats and wooden chew toys. - Barking: Okie barks when someone enters the house. Okie, a high-energy dog, would thrive in an active household and should not be left alone for more than 5 hours a day. He needs a patient family who can help him adjust to new environments and can handle occasional accidents. Okie is best suited for a home without very young children but would do well with older, dog-savvy kids. His ideal family would be active, take him to the dog park frequently, and preferably have someone who works from home due to his separation anxiety.
