Odie

PLEASE SHARE ODIE? We have been asked to help place Odin aka Odie. His adoption family want what is best for him, he is just too active for their home. They feel strongly he needs a younger active family or someone with another dog. It is breaking their hearts. Odie’s original rescue asked our help as he is near the Knoxville TN area. Odin (Odie) is a 9 month old, 8lb male Parti Yorkie. He is neutered, UTD on shots, on heartworm prevention & flea prevention. Odie is a very busy, active & athletic boy who loves his doggie toys & bones, playing fetch with his toys, going for walks, running around the fenced back yard chasing squirrels and going for golf cart rides around the property. We keep a collar with id on him at all times but only walk with a harness, it also protects his esophagus. When Odie gets up he's ready to go potty. Then breakfast around 7am & sometimes potty again. Lunch at 12 noon is just a snack - treats or a little dry food. He is use to dinner around 4pm. He is housebroken if you follow a schedule and/or take him out when he lets you know he needs to. He will let you know by jumping up at you, nipping or by going to the door. Odie loves being with his people, doing whatever you are doing. He loves men & women. He is very smart & a quick learner. He's also very food/treat motivated. He knows: Sit - for treats & for dinner Wait/stay (short term) Lay down He comes when you call his name. All learned by positive reinforcement with treats. Odie is not a dainty Yorkie, nor is he a lap dog (although he will nap on your lap at times) . He is an active, very athletic Yorkie with a lot of energy. When I sitting at my desk, he likes to lay under the desk at my feet. Odie likes to walk into the freshly wet shower & lick the water on off the tile. He looks forward to this! Whenever we go outside, I carry little treats in my pocket to reinforce the training & for new training. Odie hasn’t been around young kids or cats so we are seeking an older or no child home with an active family and fenced back yard. At just 9 months he has a long lifetime with his new parents.
