My Story

FIRST STEPS: Please visit https://www.save-a-mutt.org/adoption-application/ to fill out an application - a Petfinder Inquiry is not the adoption process. We don't do meet and greets until applications have been approved. All our dogs are located IN Washington State. We are a local foster home based rescue. Obie is a sweet boy who is ready to be a cherished member of the family. He is gentle and affectionate and he is a friend to everyone he meets. Obie is a champion lounger and enjoys a soft, cozy bed right next to his people. He would love a family that is willing to include him in their family adventures. This boy is ready to go! Obie has decided that, although he is a gentleman when meeting other dogs while on walks, he does not want to share his home with them. Obie has displayed some prey drive, therefore, we are asking for a home without cats. Because of Obie's size and happy nature he could knock over small children. We are asking for a home without children under 10 years of age. Obie recently received a Senior Wellness Exam with bloodwork. He has been prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs and joint supplements indefinitely. Obie is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccines. He is 10 years old and weighs 84 pounds. Please note, we have approximately a 200 mile adoption radius from Stanwood WA for our Senior Dogs. Save-A-Mutt may limit this distance based on the long term needs of this pet. We don’t adopt out of state except to the Vancouver BC area. We don’t ship dogs. Once approved you must pick them up in Snohomish County, WA. Canadian adopters must be able to come to Stanwood WA to pick up their dog. For questions about this dog please call Elizabeth Woche, Senior and Special Needs Dog Coordinator, at 425-345-3876.
