Numi (Sweet, housebroken, & knows commands!)

Numi is a sweet 3 year old beagle/shepherd mix. Numi was saved by Peace4Paws when she was scheduled for euthanasia at an overcrowded shelter. It's clear that she's had her share of challenges, but her potential for love and companionship shines through. Her shyness and fearfulness are understandable given her past experiences, but the fact that she's able to warm up and trust people once she feels safe is a testament to her resilience. Numi is so eager to please and has already learned commands like sit and give paw. Her patience for treats and gentle demeanor are signs of her willingness to connect and bond with her caregivers. Her playful nature with other dogs and children is a positive trait, although it's important to introduce her to new situations and individuals gradually, considering her initial shyness. If you're considering bringing Numi into your family, it's important to provide her with the patience, understanding, and empathy she needs to continue building trust and confidence. A low-traffic home that can offer a calm and supportive environment for her to decompress and overcome her fears will be crucial for her continued growth and happiness, including SLOW introductions to the resident dog. A fenced yard may also be an ideal environment for her. She currently weighs 70 pounds but should probably lose 5 pounds to get to her ideal weight. She is up to date with vaccinations, microchipped, spayed, walks well on a leash, AND is housebroken so she is ready to go home with you today!
