Nugget

Nugget would make an IDEAL COMPANION and has lot to offer: gentle disposition, housetrained, healthy, nice looking, friendly to all ages. He's good with children, other dogs, and people. Not a really large dog, but on the smaller side of large or a large medium. Nugget was rescued from the ravages of hurricane Katrina with his sister Winkle when they were just puppies. Found huddled together on a deserted road when the waters receded they were picked up by a visiting insurance adjuster who empathized with their plight and brought them back to her home in Iowa. Winkle and Nugget both were at Heavenly Pet Sanctuary while their owner traveled back to New Orleans to continue her work so we're well acquainted with them both. But the tragic circumstances of these puppies life did not end with their rescue. Recently their owner was almost killed in a serious car crash with her family and is now bedridden unable to walk or care for the dogs. Again the two were taken to Heavenly Pet for care and here they remain waiting to be adopted. They would make ideal indoor/outoor dogs. They need a fenced in yard, or equivalent place to run as they are young active dogs. We will adopt them out separately but would love to keep them together. Winkle has been recently adopted out into a great home. Nugget is stil in shelter and very lonely and needing a home. Please e-mail us for an application for Winkle and or Nugget.
