My Story

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision-making process, please make sure you have spoken with them, and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Nova is a wonderful, 4-year-old female being fostered in SAN ANTONIO TEXAS but available for transport. She is full of love and has plenty of it to share. She has been living in a foster home with a young child of 6 and does great. It is unfamiliar how she does with cats. Her favorite past times include playing hard, chasing toys, lots of pets and snuggles, and sleeping with her favorite stuffy at bedtime. While her age is adult, she is still perfecting her manners in some areas. Some areas of improvement include not jumping on people (so much love to share!), slower feeding, and still learning to perfect her leash skills (getting better). Nova is a quick learner and will be a perfect student for a family dedicated to taking the time to teach her some basics. She is an active dog and would benefit from a family that is outgoing, either with walks, hiking, or play time in the yard. She is crate trained and housebroken. Her leash skills are better when it is just her as opposed to walking with dog friends. Nova plays well with others, but we always recommend slow introductions with any other dogs in the home. Due to her excitement to play and learning to keep 4 on the floor we recommend a home with kids ages 5 and up. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her?
