Nolan (graduated from professional obedience training!)

Meet Nolan! This little guy is full of life and energy. Our rescue recently pulled him from an NC shelter on his last day before euthanasia. Nolan is currently in foster care learning house manners and how to be a great family member. Nolan is approximately 3 yrs old and 65 lbs. He is current on vaccinations, neutered and heartworm negative. He is quiet in the house and house-trained. He loves food and treats and is not a picky eater. Nolan just graduated from professional obedience training in a “board and train” setting. He is ready to go to his new family! Nolan is always happy and loves to be around people. We would consider him medium energy (he is not hyper in the house or yard). Nolan walks great on a leash. He doesn't react to others walking by except to stop in his tracks or he may pull a little when another dog goes by, but he does not bark or lunge. At the shelter, he was dog tested and was good with other dogs, but he was overzealous which can be offensive to other dogs. In the house, he is curious and will roam around, but doesn't chew things - he will play with his own toys. He will need a crate when not at home only to make sure he doesn't get into anything (he does counter surf). Nolan is fully crate trained and in the crate for 4-5 hours while the foster is at work. He only barks on rare occasions, is typically very quiet. We recommend an experienced dog owner that can set the standard and routine for Nolan. A family will no small children will be the best fit only due to his size and since he will likely knock a small child over.
