Niya

**Note: Niya is currently in a foster home in Vancouver. Background: Niya and her sister Izzy were rescued from a city pound in Chuncheon, Korea last year and previously lived with other dogs at a dog training school. About two months ago, they moved to our partner boarding house and lived there with other dogs until she left Korea. Izzy got adopted in Whistler BC and it is now Niya's turn. Currently, she lives with a cat and a dog at a foster home in Vancouver. Personality: Niya is quiet, gentle, and submissive with moderate energy, which makes her a good fur companion. Behaviors: Niya walks nicely on a leash, and likes being outdoors even though she can be a little nervous at first. She is fine with car rides and stays calm during baths. Indoors, she is usually quiet and well-mannered. Niya is not destructive, is well-behaved, and is trained to use a pee pad. Socialization: Niya gets along well with other dogs as long as they are gentle and friendly. She is more submissive, choosing to walk away if pushed by other dogs. She has never been in a fight with other dogs and is always gentle and sweet with people, preferring to stay close to them. She will be great for someone looking for a gentle second dog. Health: Niya has undergone thorough vet check-ups and is healthy with no concerns. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. Monthly preventatives for fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes have been administered, and she has not shown any allergies so far. Ideal home: The ideal person to adopt Niya would be someone who works from home or is retired, with lots of time to spend with their dog. Having another friendly dog as a companion would also be beneficial for Niya since she feels more confident around other dogs.
