Nisha is a lovely 2-1/2 year old female Labrador Retriever mix who was found on Putnam Street in Marietta Ohio on the evening of July 31st. The Good Samaritan who found Nisha kept her safe overnight and brought her to the HSOV on August 1, 2024 in that we could reunited Nisha with her family. Nisha was not wearing a collar, and she was not microchipped.
This little dollbaby has a white short smooth coat with tan patches of her back, a long tail, and a beautiful tan-and-white face with soulful brown eyes, black shading on the left side of her slender muzzle, and large floppy ears.
The Good Samaritan who kept Nisha overnight told us that Nisha was good with children and also with other dogs (and cats as well). Nisha was housebroken and enjoyed the bath that she was given while in their home.
Nisha has a sweet, rather demure, personality and was a little in awe of her new surroundings when she ventured outdoors for her Petfinder/Adoptapet/Facebook photos on August 2, 2024. A special thanks to HSOV Shelter Manager Tracy Lynn for accompanying Nisha for her glamour pictures. Nisha loved the attention which Tracy bestowed upon her and adored hearing that she was 'such a good girl and so pretty'. Nisha was gently wagging her tail and giving Tracy hugs and kisses by the time she finished her photo session.
Nisha weighs 47.4 lbs. She didn't appear be comfortable with walking on a leash but made a noble effort with Tracy by her side.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Nisha will be held for three days so that her family will have an opportunity to reclaim her with proof of ownership.
