Hi, I'm Nikki! I’m an adorable 20 lb foster pup dog looking for my forever home, and I can't wait to meet you! Here’s a bit about me: My Personality & Behavior: People: I can be super friendly once I get to know you, but I might be fearful and reactive at least. I’m cautious with new faces and fast movements -- like a real heeler! Give me some time, and I promise to be your best friend. Dogs: When I meet new doggy friends, I can be a bit nervous and reactive. I'm very treat motivated! Once I trust new friends, I love to play by mouthing, wrestling, and chasing. My Daily Routine: Walks & Activities: I love leash walks in the neighborhood and playing in the backyard. Fetch, tug-of-war with people and dogs, digging, chewing my Nylabone, and frisbee are some of my favorite activities. When playtime is done, I also adore cuddling with my people. Crating: I’m used to being crated for about 6 hours a day while my foster family is at work. Chew toys help keep me busy while being crated so I don't bark or whine. Energy Level: I'd say I have medium energy. I enjoy active play but can also calm down naturally. A Few More Things About Me: Training: I’m sure do love food! Crunchy dog biscuits and soft training treats work wonders for me when training. Car Behavior: I enjoy car rides and I’m a calm passenger, usually resting or sleeping during car rides. Fun Fact: I absolutely love to sunbathe! I’m looking for a patient and loving family who are willing to continue my training and will help me feel secure and cherished. Could that be you?
