COURTESY POSTING Hi! My name's Nikita and I'm looking for a new home. If you've got a minute, I'd like to tell you a little about myself. I grew up in a foster home. The funny thing is, even though I'm a dog, the foster home is for orphaned kittens and pregnant cats. As you can imagine, I was very confused as a puppy! Now mom says I'm a big help with the kittens. Sometimes I get to help clean them up after mealtimes. That's one of my favorite jobs! It's the only time I get to taste the kitten food without getting in trouble! Other times I let mom know where they are hiding. They also seem to think I am a kitten jungle gym when I am laying down! I don't mind though, it's like getting a mini massage and acupuncture at the same time! I've also been helpful in getting some adult cats over their fear of dogs. All it takes is a lot of patience. Occasionally we have had a dog to foster. It was a lot of fun having a dog to run and play with! I hope I can have a doggie friend in my new home! I really enjoy spending time with my people too. I don't bark unless there is someone or something outside you need to know about. I do have a lot of energy and love to run, so mom says I should have a fenced in yard and be taken for lots of walks. I'm very friendly! I was even in the St. Pat's Parade this year! Sometimes I can be too friendly. When I first meet someone I get so excited I forget my manners and jump up on them. I know I shouldn't, and I try real hard not to, but....you know. I'm housebroke, crate-trained, know some commands and am willing to learn more. My mom was a Pit and dad was (?). I will be three years old on January 29. Mom has to let me go because of health reasons, but she says there is a family out there looking for a dog just like me. Are you that family?
