My Story

Night had a rough start when she first came into our care. Not only was she a new mom of 11 puppies, but she was also figuring out what living indoors was like, especially in a higher stress setting. Expectedly so, she was terrified and protective of her babies in this new strange place. It took a lot of work build trust at the start. It was a huge success when she got to the point of walking outside of her kennel and from there out, her confidence continued to grow. And when we were finally able to break that barrier, she was sweeter than we could've ever imagined. Since then, Night has flourished into a gentle, smiley girl beaming with love. She's has now even become a volunteer favourite to walk! Night doesn't take as long to warm up to new people, she still can be nervous at first and standoffish with men in particular. However, she is very good motivated and we use this to our advantage when she's meeting new people.. She's a happy wiggly worm when she's on her walks and trots loose on the leash beside you most of the time. Night is also a big cuddler, so whoever takes her home better be ready to shower her with attention. She's also done well with quite a few of the other dogs at the shelter. Could you take this loving girl home?
