Neptune

This beautiful boy is a 2-year-old English Shepherd mix, and has spent his entire life in a shelter or rescue. This sweet boy came to us as part of our planets litter, a litter of 8 12-week-old puppies in Fall 2022. By the time they were four months old, the remaining 7 puppies had all found their forever homes. But for some reason, Neptune has remained. This sweet boy is as sweet as they come, and bonds deeply with his people. He wants nothing more than to be by your side getting all the love you can muster, and is smart as a whip on top of it all! He has learned many tricks during his time in rescue, and is quick to work through enrichment and food puzzles. And typical of the shepherd-type breed, he has a great appetite for activity, too! During his time in rescue, Neptune has undergone puppy training, general obedience training, and is well beyond mastering crate training and potty training. He has learned how to live with cats, and does well with other playful dogs with proper introductions. He does well with kids, but may knock down small children due to his size and energy level, so kids 8+ are preferred in his forever home. Neptune will also need a 6’ fence in his forever home, as he can jump a five foot fence with ease! We don’t know why Neptune is still with us, but we remain hopeful his forever home is out there, and just haven’t seen him yet! Neptune would do great with an active family, or in a home with a playful canine playmate!
