My Story

Nemo has found his forever home in Pembroke, MA with Michael K. and Teresa R. Meet Nemo!! Nemo and his sister Dory (also posted on our website) are loving 5 month old shepherd mix puppies who were found as strays on a back road in TN. Dory weighs 18 pounds and Nemo is 15 pounds. They are both well socialized with children and adults and love everyone! Dory and Nemo go to doggy daycare a couple of times a week and are in a foster home with other dogs and cats. They play gently with other dogs. Being puppies with lots of energy, they will benefit from long walks daily and active play in an enclosed area. A favorite activity is playing tug of war with their toys. They are crate trained and house trained as long as they are taken out regularly. Leash training in coming along and they are working on their leash manners. Their southern foster says. 'their ideal home would be one where they can have a large open space either at home or a nearby park where they can engage in interactive activities like fetch and training routines to burn off energy, while also strengthening the family's bond with them. They would be great family dogs." If you can give Dory or Nemo the forever home they deserve, please submit an electronic application to foreverhomerescue.org/about. They are beautiful puppies that want to find their families. Adoption fee: $550 Adoption Coordinator: Shelley Forever Home Rescue New England is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We are a network of foster homes in the South and the New England area. If you wish to adopt our dogs, please complete an online APPLICATION. You must first be approved by going through our application and screening process. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Vet fees, transport fee and New England quarantine fees ARE INCLUDED in each dog's adoption fee. Forever Home Rescue makes all of the transportation arrangements. Forever Home Rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. Any dogs older than pups--even if they are not marked housetrained in their posting---usually housetrain within a day or two, because most are used to living outside in the South and will prefer to do their business outdoors. Our dogs and pups are best suited for families with children 5 yrs old and up.
