Nelson is now a Furever Foster with ABHDR.
He excels at our acreage - quiet country living with very few visitors - rather than a busy urban environment, busy hiking trails or busy parks that overwhelm him and where his fears consume him. Although we can't say we live in a quiet home, what with all the fosters that come through here, he is very relaxed & sure of his place out here.
He's happy to be our yard guard or couch slouch or our sounding board and he is our resident behaviour specialist. If Nelson doesn't like a new foster (very rare), or is not shown the respect he is due, then we are extra watchful with those dogs during their 30 day intake assessments.
