Fully vaccinated, house & leash trained. Back left ACL repaired surgically in May 2023 & receives monthly Adequan shots @ home for developing arthritis. She has been around children of all ages & seems to do well with them. She responds well to commands (& treats!) & interacts well with people of all ages. She loves loads of attention, pets, and laying on the couch. Why we are rehoming: We are first time. parents to a 2 month old baby. I want to ensure the safety of our new baby with such a large dog. We’ve tried to give this time, but are finding it difficult to keep the dog happy, the baby safe, and actually enjoy our time at home together without being anxious of an accident. I know this will continue to be challenging as the baby grows up. We are actively looking for an individual or family for Nelly. We believe Nelly would would thrive in a home with… 1. An experienced Dane or large breed owner. 2. A large yard and/or regular exercise. 3. No cats, please! She could potentially go to a home with other dog(s), as long as the owner is experienced & willing to help her adjust.
