My Story

7/7/24: Foster or foster to adopt homes needed! We welcomed several new rescues recently from a rural shelter in Berea Kentucky. This shelter has few contacts, little staff and no social media so we are glad one of our rescue friends reached out to us so that we could help. These 4 little 16 week Beagle mix puppies had been there for a month with no interest. They've missed out on dozens of kisses, walks and cuddles and been left to fend for themselves with dozens of other dogs and puppies waiting for their forever homes. Won't you help us help them and offer to foster or foster to adopt just one? Through all that they've been through, they still trust in people and want so badly to have families of their own. The puppies will likely be in the 30-40# range full grown and are suspected beagle/hound mixes. They have been in good spirits since leaving the shelter in Kentucky and arriving into boarding in Northern NY. We hope they can get out of boarding and in to homes soon! If you've been looking for a happy-go-lucky family dog and companion, one of these pups may be perfect for you! Fill out an application today and don't forget to call your vet to give consent to talk to us when we call! Everyone meet Buck, Nash, Athena and Chimney! Due to their size and age, foster to adopt requirements are: -Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY to continue their vetting as needed in the upcoming weeks. -Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered. -They should do fine with cats and dogs in the home since they are still puppies. -Homes with children over 5 years old should be ok since they came from a home with children. -Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match. -Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet. -Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience. An adoption donation of $450 is being asked, if you decide to adopt, after they are spay/neutered, but fostering is free!! They have had their vet checks, are current on vaccines, intestinal, heartworm and external parasite treatment. Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors! Apply to foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form Apply to foster only: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/foster-application--acbs — Please copy and paste a completed adoption application from our homepage with your inquiry if you would like a response back. We get multiple inquires each day with only an hour of "free time" to volunteer and answer them around our full-time jobs and family life...don't let your inquiry get passed by because of an incomplete application. Thanks in advance for your help! Help our rescue by donating to our "Spay the momma fund". When adopting one of our babies, if each new family would contribute an extra $10 we can help out that babies mother by assisting with the cost of her spay. Help turn the momma into a pet rather than a breeding factory, donate today! Foaters limited to an 80 mile radius of Pulaski, NY and pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes. Veterinary reference check and adoption donation also required. Check out our homepage for a full list of adoption requirements at allcreaturesbigandsmall.org
