My Story

Meet Nala!!! This little girl is a unique case that we are hoping to find a special adopter for. Nala was found roaming a neighborhood with a large tumor (pictured in comments). We agreed to take her into rescue and got her into our vet quickly. During her spay, it was determined the tumor was an adenocarcinoma (mostly likely cancerous tumor) that was attached to her vagina/anal glands. The vet totally removed the tumor with no issues for Nala, but did tell us that it could come back. Currently, Nala is a healthy 3 to 4 year old Chihuahua Mix that weighs around 9 - 10 lbs. Her adopter just needs to know her background and that she may have another tumor that comes back and would be willing to just LOVE HER and provide a wonderful home until that happens. (Note: She had lived several years with the tumor as large as it was with no issues). Nala gets along with kids, dogs and cats. She loves to sit in your lap and sleep under the covers. We really just want this sweetheart to get all the attention she deserves in a forever home, so will be willing to waive any adoption fee to help with that. If transported, we would ask the adopter to pay for the transport fee. To apply fill out our online Adoption application at https://form.jotform.com/80635351784158 Our dogs are fostered in Texas but available for adoption in the Northern States. We have transports that leave Texas monthly. Our out of state adoption fee is $600 per dog. This fee includes spay/neuter, current vaccinations, a registered microchip, a negative heart worm test (if over 6 months old), health certificate, flea/tick monthly preventative and transport costs. The adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Face time, etc). The adoption application and fee would be finalized prior to transport.
