NALA

When she first came in Nala was so sad in her run at the animal control facility. She didn't know where her family had gone or why she was there. The home she had known was gone. The soft cushions she used to lie on were gone. All she saw was cold concrete and a plastic bench. At first she was frightened, but now she knows the volunteers are there to help. They make sure she has comfy blankets to soften the floor. They make sure she has her share of scratches behind the ears, and they take her for long walks which she enjoys immensely. In other words, the volunteers make her feel loved. Nala’s been to the vet, is up-to-date on her shots, her heartworm test is negative, and she’s been spayed. Now all she needs is a new forever family to call her own. ..........If you haven't already guessed, Nala was named (by the animal control officer ) for a character in The Lion King.
