My Story

4-16-10: Nakoda was previously adopted but returned today due to having to spend too much time in a crate., which creates boredom and unhappiness. And we all know that an unhappy Malamute will talk, and talk, and talk.. Nakoda is now 10 weeks old and is all Malamute. He is going to the Vet tomorrow for a well puppy check and then he will be ready for his very own family to find him. Nakoda will only be adopted to a Malamute savvy family. Nakoda needs lots of attention as well as space to play. He does not do well crated (nor do most Malamutes). Nakoda has spent the evening playing with all of his friends that are also in foster care. He thinks this is great.

Nakoda also LOVES water. He will walk through his water bowl in a skinny minute. So his future family needs to know that water bowls need to be up off of the floor in a stand...then he can't walk through the water bowl on his way to the food bowl.

Nakoda is a real cutie and does great with other dogs. He is available for immediate adoption to the right home.

4/17/10: Nakoda had a good Vet visit...he had previously been partially paralyzed in one of his back legs...this stemmed from receiving a shot (in the muscle) as a baby and it hit a nerve. He barely limps now and soon will have no issue at all with his leg says our Vet when he examined him today. He said he was doing great. Nakoda has spent the day running around and playing, he had a bath and tried to drink half of his bath water...silly boy.
