Labrador Retrievers are known for their friendly and outgoing personalities. They are intelligent dogs that are eager to please their owners. They are gentle and affectionate, making them great family pets. Their loyalty and playful nature make them a famous choice for companionship.
Mylo sure measures up to these standards already. He is starting out with great energy, with the kindest eyes, and sweet as can be! At just 4 months old, he's blossomed into a beautiful and fun ball of love and silliness. Based off of Mylo's current age and weight (around 24 lbs currently), we think he'll be about 45-50 lbs full grown.
From Mylo's foster:
"Mylo is awesome! Excellent in his crate, sleeps all night without a peep and has done all his potties outside! He’s getting along great with our dogs and especially loves Hayduke. He also loves my husband, and snuggled up in bed with him the first night they met! What a great great puppy he is!"
Since Mylo is just a puppy, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show her the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome adult companion. He will form firm bonds with his family and learn positive socialization skills through positive reinforcement puppy kindergarten followed by virtual or in-person force-free Obedience Classes.
Mylo will be up to date on his vetting/vaccinations to be in line with our commitment to only adopting out healthy dogs.
Neuter is required to be done before he turns 1 year old (7-9 months of age is recommended) and is required to finalize any adoption. Farfel's Rescue covers the full cost of his neuter if our rescue vet is used.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet dog! An application can be found at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/. If interested, please fill out completely and submit.
