My Story

Myko is approximately 1 year old (give or take a couple of months) and is approximately 40 pounds. He is a friendly and very sweet boy - good with people of all ages and good with other dogs. He had one encounter with a cat and he did not react at all, except with interest. The cat kept it's distance, about 3 feet, and in the end calmly walked away. Myko loves to be outside, even if it is just lying in the back yard watching the squirrels and rabbits. He likes to go on walks and has adjusted well to a halter. He is not reactive to other people but he really wants to meet other dogs that are out walking. If he doesn't get to he can become a bit unruly but it is short lived. In the house he mostly lies by the front door - I think that it is cooler there for him. He sheds surprisingly little. From time to time he chews things that he shouldn't, even when there are numerous dog toys available - he needs to work on this and on his house manners. He won't hesitate to get up on the dining room table if all the chairs are not pushed in. Myko goes in the kennel when there is no one home and while he doesn't love it he does not put up strong resistance either. He is not kenneled overnight and again tends to sleep by the door. He rarely jumps up and is not a needy dog. He does not constantly look for attention although he is always happy to get a pat. He seldom barks although he does occasionally whine when someone leaves the house. He has never had an accident in the house and will go to the door when he wants to be let out. Overall Myko has a very sweet temperament. He is a great dog and very easy to get along well in any home.
