Murphy

Hi my name is Murphy and I am a 16 week old Golen Retriever mix. I was minding my own business when my previous owner threw me into a truck and headed off to an unknown destination. When he came to a screeching halt, he grabbed me by the scruff and handed me over to some people I had never met. I am very mild mannered so I accepted this behavior without resistance. I was placed in a "run" and left with the bare minimum - some food and water. It is a hard concrete floor that some people come by and rinse off every once in a while. At this shelter as we move closer to the front kennels, we have very little time left. I just wanted love and someone to give me a pet but all I got was moved to a kennel that each day was getting close to the front of the shelter. A volunteer from S.A.F.E. Animal Haven was walking by when I thought I would give it one more try because tomorrow was my last day. I wag my tail, then wag my butt, then put my head down and peer over my nose with my best sad expression. Wait! She stopped and she is looking at me! Oh boy, oh boy she is talking to me and crying. Yes, she has a leash and is coming to me - I'm going into foster care (not sure wht that means but it has to be better than here). Yeah!!!!! She hugged me and gave me a kiss on the top of my head - someone loves me after all!! I have a second chance and would love to show you my wonderful personality and great disposition! WE FINALIZE EVERY ADOPTION WITH A HOME VISIT THEREFORE POTENTIAL HOMES MUST BE WITHIN A HOURS DRIVE TIME OF CHARLOTTE NC. A FOSTER PET WILL NOT BE SHIPPED TO SOMEONE LIVING OUTSIDE THE ADOPTION AREA NOR WILL ANYONE BE ALLOWED TO COME PICK A PET UP FROM US. YOU MUST BE 21 TO ADOPT FROM OUR GROUP.
