My Story

Meet Mulligan, the dapper 8-year-young, 50-pound gentleman who is stealing hearts everywhere he goes. Mulligan narrowly escaped euthanasia in Stockton, saved at the last moment by our rescue efforts. Despite being a stray with no one searching for him, Mulligan has flourished in foster care, getting along famously with dogs of all sizes. This happy-go-lucky boy has a heart of gold and adores everyone he meets. His favorite pastimes include cuddling up for a good scratch and enjoying leisurely walks and car rides. Mulligan is house and crate trained, and he’s highly motivated by treats, which makes training a breeze. Mulligan recently had a thorough blood panel taken, revealing him to be as healthy as a horse with a clean bill of health. This adds to his charm as the perfect companion for his golden years. While Mulligan prefers not to share toys with other dogs, he has no issues with food and enjoys engaging in a spirited game of tug-of-war. He's low to medium energy and would thrive in an apartment setting. Mulligan also loves soaking up the sun, making him the ideal companion for relaxed afternoons outdoors. With his charming demeanor and distinguished touch of grey on his face, Mulligan has plenty of pep left in his step and many years of love to give. If you're ready to open your home to a devoted companion who is healthy and full of life, Mulligan is eagerly awaiting a family to cherish him. Help us find Mulligan the loving home he deserves, where he can continue to enjoy life and spread his warmth and affection!
