Muggles

Muggles the Shar Pei/Retriever mix has a face you want to squish and kiss, the temperament to make it able for anyone to do so, and a heart of pure gold. This dog is unique in looks, and his temperament cannot be beat. He is extremely patient, quiet, gentle, and instantly makes friends with everyone. Muggles is fostered in a busy home with little kids and other dogs and does very well. He is housetrained (although had some accidents at first), crates when left alone, and enjoys walks and dog parks but is more on the mellow side. His tail never stops wagging, even in his sleep! He weighs about 60 pounds and needs to fill out a bit more. This dog has some incredible therapy dog potential, nice leash manners, and is a one in a million dog! For obvious reasons, all animals adopted from Homeward Bound MUST live indoors only. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested for heartworm and lyme disease. UPDATE: Muggles has a head like a hippo and habits like one too! That's right, it turns out that our Muggles is quite the water-dog. He's not a big swimmer, but he loves to lie in the shallow water with only his head above the waterline, much like the hippo he resembles. We've also found that someone has spent quite a bit of time teaching Muggles obedience, as he already knows 'sit,' 'down' and 'shake.' In addition, he has nice leash manners. With every day that passes, we become more and more impressed with this boy!
