Meet MUFFIN
Muffin was found in a park nursing her newborn puppies! Despite her own thin and fragile state, she was able to feed her babies and keep them alive.
Muffin’s “mama” duties are over, and she can now enjoy just being a dog! Initially shy, she takes a moment to warm up, but once she does, she’ll offer you her whole heart. Her loyalty and sweetness will shine through, she is going to make a wonderful companion.
Muffin is protective of her "person", she prefers females but we are working on getting her to trust men a little more. She is enjoying her new found freedom (without the puppies), and runs around playing with her toys, she also loves to hunt in the backyard. Muffin has some “moves”, she is quite agile, so a high fence would be a must! She does well with other dogs, not food aggressive, loves being picked up, and sleeps soundly on her own pillow next to the bed. She has occasionally been found sleeping on her foster’s bed in the morning!
This precious girl needs a home where she will get lots of attention and not be left alone for too long. Another dog would be great, as we believe this would help her with her confidence, but it’s not essential.
If you would like to apply for Muffin, please go to our website at www.aarflove.org and complete an application. Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to everyone who applies, but will reach out if we think you would be a good match
