Mowgli

Mowgli is a 10 month old Retriever Mix who is in need of a forever home. He was surrendered for adoption because his family was moving and could no longer keep him. He loves to run and play fetch outside. He does however need some help learning not to jump. He also has selective hearing. He is a good dog who loves to get belly rubs and is very good with us messing with his legs, ears, and belly. We think with some more extensive training and a firm owner he can become a well behaved and loving companion. Long walks or either a big fenced in back yard is the best environment for dogs. We may not know yet if this dog is good with other dogs, cats, or kids. We strongly suggest meet and greets before adopting. When adopting an animal at the shelter please know the responsibility of an animal. Most of the animals at the shelter are strays which mean they may not know how to sit or stay. They also might not have manners such as not to jump. Adopting takes patience.
