Mousse

Mousse (FKA Special) is a ~1.5 yo mixed breed (a DNA test showed he's a real heinz 57!... Decent part lab, but many other breeds) who was saved from a high-kill area in Mississippi. He was sent with the name Special ...because he is. His fosters renamed him Mousse (for chocolate mousse because he is so sweet). He is an amazing, sweet, and goofy guy. The minute you meet him, his tail starts wagging and he leans in for love. He is young and LOVES to play with other dogs close to his size (he's too much for small dogs). He is house -trained, crate -trained, and leash-trained. His DNA test found a gene for "low-shedding". He prefers to eat in his own space (he's fine sharing toys!) and he can be hesitant of men at first, but he warms up and trusts once he knows someone won't hurt him. That's it...he otherwise pretty much perfect. He really is an amazing pup and devoted companion. His fosters would keep him if they didn't already have two dogs and enjoy fostering. He is vaccinated and neutered. Although he was heartworm negative when he arrived and has been on preventatives, he was re-tested and tested positive. He is now undergoing treatment. He weighs 65#.
