My Story

You might say I'm what's call a "Gentle Giant". Well over 100lbs, I am as sweet and friendly as could be. Come down and meet me I ready for a couch to call my own. ·All adopters must be 18 years of age ·The prospective adopter will present a valid form of identification ·All members in a household must meet the animal and agree to the adoption ·Dogs owned by prospective adopters must meet and be compatible with new dog ·All prospective adopters must fill out an application and be approved ·All prospective adopters must provide proof of homeownership such as a tax bill or mortgage statement. Renters must provide a certified letter from their landlord including the landlord proof of home ownership. ·All prospective adopters must sign an Adoption Agreement and an Indemnification & Hold harmless Agreement prior to adoption ·All animals will be vaccinated, tested for disease, microchipped and altered prior to going home with new adopter ·Adopters must sign an agreement to spay/neuter adopted animals by six months of age if they are too young to be altered at time of adoption ·Prospective Adopters must understand that animals will not be held for anybody and adoptions are approved at the discretion of the Animal Control Officers. In the case of multiple applications, for the same animal, the animal will be adopted out at the Animal Control Officers discretion. Every effort is made by the Animal Control Officers to match animals to proper homes and filing an application does in no way guarantee that the prospective adopter will be approved for such animal ·Stratford Animal Control makes no claims as to the health, temperament or mental positions of any of its animals. Some animals change when brought out of the shelter environment and into its new environment. Due care should be taken with any new animals in their new homes. All animals have been screened for temperament and potential adopters will be given an assessment of the findings.
