Morgan

Morgan, a spade female, is believed to be a mix of Formosan Mountain Dog & Black Lab. She was born in Taiwan in November 2006 and is now about 15 months old. She weighs about 48 pounds. She is house trained and sleept in a crate when she was a puppy, but now sleeps on the floor on her bed. She was brought to the Bay Area at 12 weeks old. Morgan has graduated from Puppy & Intermediate training classes with dog trainer Gail S. Green. She knows the following commands: sit, down (lie down), stay, wait, leave it, take it, on your bed, and "tangle" in which she lifts her leg to untangle her leash from it. She loves walks and is good on a loose leash and at heel. She will wait for you to exit doors first. We’ve been working on recall. She will often come when called while on a 20-ft. lead but not reliably when off-leash. She likes to go to the beach and play in the water, but she doesn’t swim out into the waves. She loves to play ball and will drop it or play tug of war with you. She loves toys and bones, all of which she will chew to pieces. Brushing, bathing, teeth brushing, nail clipping & other hygiene are performed easily on her. Although she is very energetic, in the house she settles down to nap. She has the cutest way of cocking her head to the side when asked if she is hungry or wants to eat. In fact, she will do it when asked any question. She has a beautiful shiny black coat and soulful brown eyes. She will crawl up onto your lap, keeping her hind feet on the floor, for a cuddle. She is friendly with adults and children. Morgan is very intelligent, curious, playful and loving. She likes to be the center of attention and would probably do best in a home with no other animals.
