Mookie

Mookie is a 15 month old Husky x Pit mix ready for his furever home! Abandoned by his previous 'family', he's now looking for the right people who will give him the life he deserves! He is a playful dude who loves toys, fetch, and giving kisses. Once he trusts you, he's all in for hugs and belly rubs. He's been left alone for up to 4 hours at a time and has been a perfect angel—no accidents or barking. He's been left alone for 4 hours at a time and has been a perfect angel—no accidents or barking. According to his foster, he's a total joy to have around, always keeping her entertained with his antics and affection. He's still figuring out treats and commands, but he's nailed "sit" and "shake" like a champ. He's not crazy about most treats—just peanut butter and chicken get his tail wagging. On walks, Mookie is great on leash and well-behaved, although he can't help but get excited when he sees other dogs, jumping around a bit. He's working on "leave it," and he's catching on fast - he looks up at his foster mom now and checks in to make sure he's being a good boy :) He's friendly but cautious with new people, especially men. After a couple of woofs, he's all cuddles and up for sharing toys with a new friend. He's a protective boy at heart, checking on his foster mom now and then when things get lively.
