Meet adorable 4.5 month old, 30 pound Monty! This little monkey quickly won his foster mom’s heart as you can see:
“He's pretty calm for such a young puppy and extremely affectionate. He’s chewy and teething still, so he's inclined to nibble at your ears and nose. He’s VERY snuggly and likes a lot of body contact; likes to sleep in the crook of my arm and chin-rest his head on my shoulder. If I move, he snuggles his little face in even closer . . . so he's a love.
“He's pretty well potty trained at this point; he will run out the dog door to go potty by himself now. He loves to play with toys and will seek out youngsters when he hears their voices. Coat is nice and shiny!”
Monty is truly off to a great start with his foster mom who is a professional trainer and very experienced puppy foster.
Puppies, while adorable, are not for everyone. Think carefully if your lifestyle has room for the extraordinary responsibility of raising a puppy. Monty will only be placed in a home with (1) adults or older children who can treat a dog with kindness and respect and (2) one that clearly has the dedication and substantial time throughout the day to devote to raising a puppy to responsible adulthood.
