You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Montgomery originally came to the shelter in Feb., 2023 as an unclaimed stray. This sweet and gentle guy was adopted soon after his arrival and stayed in that home for over a year. His people recently had a big change in their living situation and had to make the tough decision to return him to us. We're playing "guess the breeds" with him. There could be some pit bull, lab, pointer, maybe some cattle dog.... we just don't know for sure. What we do know is that he is happy, well adjusted, and loves people. He is fully vetted, chipped, and his fee is $150. Montgomery is an all around good guy who has done fine with other dogs and kids. We think he would tolerant of cats, too. He's an eager to please dog who would make a nice companion. He has had some basic training and would need some regular exercise. NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. Check your emails if you apply. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.
