Monte

My name is Monte. I am 6 months old and ready to learn about the world. You see, before I came to Oklahoma Westie Rescue, I lived in a kennel all my life. I never felt grass on my feet or slept in a soft bed. I didn’t have a human to love me or take me places.

Now I am in a wonderful foster home and life is good! I have 2 foster brothers to play with and even have my own small human (I think they call it a teenager).

I am learning not to be quite so frightened of people, how to potty outside and to walk on a leash. I could be the perfect pet for you. Are you perfect for me?

Update as of 11-14-06. Monte is now potty trained and is still having a great time with his foster brothers. He does not have a tendency to chew as long as he has enough toys and chewies. He walks well on a leash, sits for treats and does well when left with his brothers. He does not, however, like to be in a crate.

What Monte really needs is a great home!

Oklahoma Westie Rescue will only adopt to applicants who reside within the following states: OK, AR, MO, KS and TX. If you live outside these areas OR if you have children under the age of 10, please do not apply for this dog.
