This black and white fellow is a super good looking, tail twirling cuddler who adores everyone - - dogs included. We believe Mokey is a beautiful, tail wagging blend of Aussie and Great Pyrenees. He was adopted a few years ago from a local Humane Society who listed, unbeknownst to us, the same mix that we guessed. But, only his DNA knows for sure. The only reason Mokey finds himself without a home is because his owner went into an assisted living facility and no one in the family was available to adopt or accept responsibility for this wonderful guy. Currently with a foster family for several weeks, we've learned that Mokey is great with other dogs and does well with children. In spite of his breed, this fellow is considered low to medium energy. He especially loves female canines who are about his energy level but gets along perfectly well with the senior male in the household and several males and females also being fostered. Mokey is laid back and is definitely off' in the house where he can lie around for hours. He will go to a bed if told but FAR prefers the sofa, especially if his human is relaxing. Since he has always slept in a human bed, this too has become his sleep place' of choice since he gets to be close to his human. Mokey has been perfect in the house stated his foster mom; and yes, I consider him absolutely house trained since he has never had an accident. And, you have to fight to keep him out of the car if the door opens' explained his foster. On a recent trip to the coast, everything was new to Mokey; but, he had down the routine in only a few days and loved sniffing all the scents of the coast. He exudes intelligence as he looks deep in your eyes to understand what you are saying or feeling. If you are someone who wants a dog to sleep with you, Mokey may be the great match. He loves cuddling on the sofa, lying with his head in his owner's lap and playing with his canine companion. He loves to go outside but can be perfectly content hanging out with the family indoors.
