My Story

!!! AVAILABLE for Adoption from Foster Care !!! MOCHI FKA JAMIE A#44007402Foster Email: [email protected]'s Instagram: @mochi.dapitPhotos:Jamie in foster care! - https://photos.app.goo.gl/U17XR7Gkid45saX16Dog Meets:Jamie and Deku: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qpfFVy05HTgMochi is an amazing furball! Expect your day to be filled with her special hugs and kisses! She loves pretending to be a lap dog whenever you give her the chance, but she is more than happy chilling out on the rug next to you. She will do whatever it takes to be near her loved ones and loves her walks and saying hi to strangers. She does well on the leash if there aren't any distractions, is totally fine around people, but pulls a bit around other dogs. She knows "sit" and is learning how to do "paw"! Intake Type: (3/12) StrayWeight: 50.40 lbsMedical Observation:(4/26) Vet Check -- From memos under original A#44007402 sounds like Mochi was not doing well behaviorally in adoptive home, showed some aggression towards male owner when on the couch and also towards female owner when resting on her dog bed - possible resource reactivity. Recovering well from pyometra spay, very BAR with loose body language both in kennel and when in exam room here. Very mildly elevated temperature.Behavior Observation:(4/26) Per Vet Staff -- friendly, comes right up in kennel, no concerning behaviors.(4/25) Per Previous Owner -- We noticed she's had the following symptoms that have particularly escalated today: sleeping a lot, panting heavily while in a relaxed state, licking her lips/the air frequently, and diarrhea. We believe these be could be a side affects of the Clavacillin.- Additionally, earlier today, around 3 p.m. Mochi and I were sitting on the couch and she was in and out of sleep. Buddy came home, sat next to her and gave her a new toy. After sitting with her for a few minutes, he attempted pet her and she snarled and snapped at him. He moved away and tried to identify if it was the toy. We took the toy the away and took her on a walk and it seemed to help dissipate the situation and she was able to relax with us on the bed for a while. Later in the evening, all three of us were on the couch again and she began to lock eyes with Buddy and again, starting growling. We tried to coax her off the couch with treats and redirect her to her dog bed, but she either refused to move or would growl at Buddy anytime he got close. We let her be and separated ourselves from her, but later on she was panting very heavily and I went to check on her, she let me pet her head but then snarled and attempted to bite me.This animal is currently available from foster care through ACCT Philly's Adoptions Programs.
