***COURTESY POST*** Meet Momma Moana! Momma was found by a Good Samaritan after being dumped VERY pregnant near their property. Luckily, they were able to take her in and give her a safe place to land, and she quickly gave birth to four healthy puppies. Luckily, all four puppies were adopted into loving forever homes, but Momma Moana is still looking for a home of her very own! Despite being a mom, this young girl is estimated to only be a few years old, and is still full of puppy energy! While it is suspected that she never lived as an indoor dog prior to being dumped, she is now crate trained and potty trained. She loves chew toys, laying around, and RUNNING. Once she gets outside, there’s no stopping this active girl! Unfortunately, she still needs work on leash manners, as she has likely only known life outdoors or on the run. Her foster reports she does great in a fenced in yard, though, and is happy to run out her zoomies in an enclosed area! Moana would do best in a home with no other female dogs, as she can be quite selective with her female dog friends. She does well with other male dogs, and would likely do well with a young canine brother to help run out her energy! Moana does need a home without cats, as she is a bit too rough to play with them safely, and can have a high prey drive when they run from her. Moana does well in the car, and has no ongoing health issues. She does have an old injury to her front leg, but it does not seem to cause her any issues at this time. Moana’s current foster has asked us to accept applications on her behalf, but we are not asking for an adoption fee at this time. Instead of an adoption fee, we just ask for proof of an appointment to get her spayed and up to date on her vaccines! We will also ask for confirmation once her vetting is completed.
