Misty

Hi there, I'm Misty, an 8 year old Chow who weighs about 48 lbs. I was used for breeding in my previous home so I was very happy when Emma's Wish rescued me! I was about 20 lbs underweight and never got to do any fun dog things, like go on walks or chew bones. My foster mom has gotten me healthy and now I'm ready for adoption. A few things you need to know about me: I am heartworm positive and the rescue is doing slow kill instead of injections because I really, really like to play with other dogs and go on walks. My foster mom can give you more info about the slow kill process. My foster home has large and small dogs, both male and female. I love wrestling and playing chase with them. Being a Chow, I have a bit of a dominant play style. I like to put my paws on the other dog's back, so any dogs I play with have to be okay with this. I get along with the cats in my foster home so should be fine in a home with cats (intros are always necessary). Aside from cats, I have a high prey drive and like to bark at/chase rabbits and squirrels. If you would like to adopt me, you must be familiar with the Chow breed.
